Recently I was inspired to learn the solo from “Sixpounder” by Children of Bodom, and so far I’ve managed to steadily increase the tempo upto 120 bpm. The actual speed is 142 bpm so I’ve got work to do, but something seems to have clicked thanks to Captrice - the guitar practice app I am building. Until a couple of weeks ago I wouldn’t have believed that I could play 16th notes at 120 bpm with legato + string skipping. And I’ve been practicing for only about 20-30 mins, 3-4 times a week in the best case.

I am Vineet Naik, a software engineer and hobbyist guitar player from Bangalore, India.
I picked up the guitar in 2001 and somehow the hobby has stuck. I played in a few amateur bands during college. Since then, I have pretty much been a bedroom musician.
